Yes it was a virus/adaware which had a high risk value. I use avira anti virus premium paid version, comodo fire wall,and superantispyware. How it got onto my computer I do not know as I am most careful.
The only thing I can think of is a junk mail I was trying to delete and I accidentally clicked on it. I generally use a sandboxie program, but on this occasion no. One has to be most careful, I lost my computer several years ago with a crappy anti virus.
Hopefully I have got rid of it now as I do not have the problem at the moment.
