For desktop, I bounce back and forth between FF and Chrome. Overall, I use Chrome for speed, Firefox for functionality. Both are good browsers. Though I admit, that Google's development direction lately has puzzled me. Why it took until version three to integrate bookmarks was beyond me, and even then, it's still a horrible implementation of it. (By my standards, anyway.)

Now if mobile is your thing, I'd go Opera. Auto-magic bookmark sync between desktop and phone, the caching mechanism is pretty sweet, and the experience is good, even on low end phones.
