Status

We are running ADABAS on z/OS.We conenct to mainframe thru client.


How do we know ADABAS is up or down from the DBA perspective?

I'm not sure that I understand the question, but my first response would be "Contact your mainframe operator" if one of our users asked this question.

I'm not comfortable with this answer because it seems too simple to me, so you might want to rephrase the question so I (or someone else) can give you a better answer.

try to connect to the server through waht ever tools you sue to administer it
or a query browser such as navicat or HeidiSQL would be my guess
