Access problem

I developed a simple access application and have placed it on a business network for 1 to 4 users. Close of business monday, there were no db problems. Tues morning, the database will not open. IT is clueless. Any ideas as to what would cause this to happen? The file properties look normal and has been scanned for viruses.
