ADABAS to DB2

Hi all,

I am currently investigating the effect of migrating COBOL/ADABAS to COBOL/DB2. Has anybody out there encountered such a project and if so can you please advise as to the pitfalls of same.

Thanks

Des

I am assuming that you are using direct calls? Replace those with the appropriate SQL calls. The other pitfall is that ADABAS supports nonnormalized file formats and so you would be required to modify the record layouts to account for the normalization that DB2 imposes.
