Cool

What do you mean by "numeric number"?

TO_CHAR(SYSDATE,'YYYYMMDD') -- Year-Month-Day?
TO_CHAR(SYSDATE,'YYYYDDD') -- Year-Day?
TO_CHAR(SYSDATE,'J') -- Julian date?

Cool

There are equivalent functions in T-SQL and other SQL languages to produce the same results. The idea is to emphasize what he means by "numeric number".

PS: Is a number is allways "numeric"?.
