Hello, Are there any good SQL books/websites/etc. (I would gues MS SQL is as good as any to start with) that have solid, real-world examples to explain how the various SQL functions are used? I have written some queries but can get hung up on syntax and am sometimes stumped not knowing what functions are out there that might help me write a query. I'm in the Business Intelligence community, so I don't need DBA-level skills, but just something to refer to/practice with to improve my overall skill level.

If you are willing to invest the money, Programming SQL Server 2000 published by Wrox Publication is a good book to have. If you are looking for something free, you can try http://www.sqlref.com
It's a website focus primarily on standard SQL.

Also, there is allways the manual.
