would love an answer to this problem if anyone can help....
bit of a newbie question, so pardon my ignorance

I have an Oracle 8.1.7 DB, with XDK, etc
Have managed to put XML Document into a CLOB field.
I need to parse the XML from CLOB and place data into fields across various tables (just one would be a start though!) from PLSQL

all the examples I can find are either relating to 9i (but I think the XDK will enable the same methods for xml - correct me if I'm wrong!), or they don't work/compile, etc

does anyone have a full example I can cut/paste to try out just to see if it's my lack of knowledge or if it's environmental?

any help would be much appreciated.
