I'm a newbie developer. but this doesn't make any sense at all.

have a bunch of triggers that are set off by inserts and updates and send emails when fired. tested them and they work fine. then like a couple days later i test them again and nothing happens. no email, no error, nothing. the code hasnt been touched since it was working.

in desparation, i dropped the trigger and then created a new one. WITH THE SAME EXACT CODE. then it worked. NO CODE WAS CHANGED.

im quite confused.. was happy to get the triggers working again but worried that they will stop working again in the future.

someone suggested talking to a DBA about how they couldve possibly been invalidated but that isnt easy because they are in a remote office.
