Question Trigger for checking daterange from two columns?
I want to create a trigger that fetches the date from two columns (StartDate & EndDate) and a venueID. if the new row inserted contains a date that already exist in an old daterange with the same venueID it raises an error.
I want to check so there won't be any clashes when booking a venue.

For what DBMS - Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2, ...? Syntax will vary.
