Is there such a tool/software that will block ads and pictures as I visit sites? As I do religious research, I sometimes find myself at a site with objectionable materials.

Since all I want to do is access information, I'd like to be able to just have all pictures blocked. Can this be done somehow?

Your best bet, however, is to use Firefox with the AdBlock extension.
