CHM files

I have a problem with chm files (help files for windows) at my computer-windows xp professional).
I download some chm files from net at my other PC (windows home) and with my usb stick I copy to this PC.
So when I copy the files at a folder of the pc the content of files are not there.
When I read the files from usb stick I can read them.
What is wrong?
