Which database for these files?

Hello,
i want to discover of which database are these files:

every table of this database have:
- one file without extension
- one .key file
- one .map file...

Of which DB engine? I think it's a oldest database (1990~)... please help me!

Do you have ANY information other than the file extensions? Was this a general purpose database? or, was the program a special purpose program which stores its data in files with the above naming convention?

Was it a mainframe app?

Hello, thanks for your attention to my problem!
This database is used by a legacy application who is programmed (i think...) in visual basic.. the application is composed of 100-120 files .exe (one every program function).

Before it's ported to VB with windows interface, this apps is born to be used in dos.

It sounds like it's a custom format of some sort. Have you tried opening the files with notepad to see if it's a fixed width format?

Hello, this is the result...

One row of file without extension:
http://www.drgtools.it/db1.png

One part of file .key:
http://www.drgtools.it/db2.png

One entire file .map (1KB for all .map!):
http://www.drgtools.it/db3.png

I don't know what think about...
