JDBC and ERwin

Hi all,

Is there an easy way to use ERwin to produce JDBC code?

I'm not sure of ERWin producing jdbc code, but a ERWin Data Model project can be used in Visual paradigm to generate the required JDBC stubs.

Girishbc,

Thanks, for your help. Is there a point to still using ERwin. Visual Paradigm, looks like it would do all the same stuff as ERwin.

Was there ever a point to using ERWIN? I've yet to see it do anything but decrease productivity and increase cycle time at every client that has used it.

ErWin is like any power tool, if you know how to use it the tool can work near miracles. If you don't know how to use it, the tool can be very dangerous and consume enormous amounts of time and resources and produce nothing but scrap. ErWin is really only useful if you have a good data modeler and a problem that requires modeling... If you don't have both, then ErWin can't help you.
