hi, i'm newbies on creating chat system.
however, may u guys tell me how to create one?
is it possible to create an chat application which runs both in linux & windows(xp)?
if i'm using jav, can i add in features like email, file sharing, and voice messaging.

if your using java then your chat program will run on any OS that has a jvm (which is standard for linux, windows, solaris, etc) also check this site out if you don't know which classes to use when making your program: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/api/index.html
