Good diff tools for windows (advice asked)

Hi, everyone,

Could you people tell me what your preferences are about diff tools for Windows. I need it mainly to compare VC++, VB and XML files. It would also be nice to if it could compare some popular binary formats like Word, Acrobat or Excel.

I have used Windiff (too simple) and CSDiff (prefer to see the files side by side, rather than merged).
