anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?

setup is RH 2.1-ES kernel 2.4.9-e.48-smp , qlogic 2310 connected via mcdata switches to HDS 9570, Foudation Suite 2.2 (vxvm 3.2, vxfs 3.4)

dba and sybase are pointing to a "SAN" problem yet i see no veritas errors, no errors on the HDS subsystem and no scsi errors in syslog
