PLS-00103 error in stored procedure!!

Hi,
I created this procedure

CREATE OR REPLACE procedure upd_coeff as
BEGIN
UPDATE BL
SET COEFF=(case when area_oc=0 or area_gr=0
then 0
else (area_gr/area_oc)
end);
commit;
END;

but when I compile I get error PLS-00103 on CASE clause.
my oracle version is 8.1.7.0
