ASE 12.5.2 on Debian problem: dataserver cannot start during srvbuildres

Hello,
I am trying to setup ASE 12.5.2 on debian (kernel 2.4.22-bf2.4), but when srvbuildres tries to start the dataserver process, it fails (see log).
Any ideas?
