I am new to this forum, and I would like to know what is out there in terms of chatrooms. Places where you all hang out and talk about the interesting subject of DB and DB design.

Sorry, if you mean something like IRC for database geeks, I don't know of such a thing. There are occaisional groups that get together in public and private places, but I don't know of any public ones with a predictable schedule.
