Hi,

I am new to sybase. I am trying to uninstall PC Client 15 and Install PC Client 12.5 on a Windows 2000 box (32 bit). For some reason even after I uninstall the software and manually deleted the folder and cleanedup the registry. It is not allowing me install PC Client 12.5. It keeps giving me the error that newer version of software installed and exit the install process for PC Client 12.5. If anybody know a workaround please do let me know.

Try setting the following environment variable before running
the 12.5 setup program:
set INSTALL_ALL_PATCH=1


If that doesn't help, look for a file called "vpd.properties"
in your Windows system32 directory. Rename this file to
something like "vpd.properties.old" and then try running the
setup.exe program.
