Question Help required on ons.config file

Hi DBAs,

I need a some information on ons.config file.

In the oracle documentation, it is said that ons.config should have the following entries

localport
remoteport
nodes

We have Oracle 10g RAC database. When I look at the contents of the file of our database (for getting the port details for configuring my application), I found that there is no entry for nodes in the file, but only the following three in the file.
-----------------------
localport=6101
remoteport=6201
loglevel=3
-----------------------
But we dont face any problem in our application that accessing the database.

However, we are afraid if it could cause any problem in our environment as our application is going LIVE very soon.

Will it cause any other side effects or problems?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Regards
Raja M
