Sybase backup server error

Hi,

I see following error frequently in backup server error log for Sybase 12.5.3/EBF 13055 ESD#5

open Server Session Fatal Error: 16315.15.0: srv__internal_read_packet: Protocol error occurred: length in header (21536) more than pack
et size(512)

Anyone saw this before pl? , what could be the issuse.

It happens when some other product is trying to use the same port. As long as the Backup Server didnt crash and up and running, you should be ok.

The Open Server tries to read in what it thinks should be a login packet, but gets something else. Consequently, it reports a 16315 error. I hope it has not harmed your server?
