Problem with Impromtu sub report

I am new to Impromtu (and also to this forum). I needed to create 2 reports in 1 page from 2 different queries. I created a new "Simple List" report and pasted the 1st query by hand in SQL portion. Then I inserted a sub-report of type "List Frame" - it asks for a query - when I go to SQL and just try to EDIT, impromtu crashes with "Dont Send" message. I am using Cognos Series 7 Version 2 Impromtu. Any help? anyone faced this before?
