Hi all,

I am getting a following error while connecting to database using dbaccess

25588: The appl process cannot connect to Dynamic Server <dbname>.
Invalid argument

If i set INFORMIXSHMBASE variable in .bash_profile, I am able to connect to database.

But furhter activities like, creation of dbspace / adding a logical logs gose on toss. Checkpoint is too high while executing this actitity. e.g. it is 2 hours to 4 hours.

Any suggestions or solutions.

Your sure about this is the only active on IDS?
What version?

onstat -b
the last line show the amount of dirty buffers to flush...
onstat -F
show the chunk where the flush occur..

copy the onconfig here...
