Hello All,

I am working on Linux machine. On this machine 8.1.7.4 and 9.0.1.0 Databases are already installed.

I installed the 9.2.0.1 oracle software. Now when I invoke "dbua" for database upgrade ...it is listing only oracle 9.0.1 databases.

Why I am not able to see Oracle 8.1.7.4 database ??

Most likely because V9.0.1.0 was installed after V8.1.7 & there is no entry for V8.1.7 in the oratab file.

yes you are correct...I made the entry and it's working.
