Error Getting -244 (Due update in systable)

Hello...

I'm trying to chage my table to row lock (was in page lock)...


I heard about update in systable the field locks..... but afte I did this,my application's getting this error (-244)...


How I change one table from page to row ?

never ever....ever....ever... you do a update/delete/insert over any SMI (sys*) tables....

To alter the lock mode:
Code:
alter table tab_xyz lock mode (row)

you already shutdown you IDS and restart to stopping these errors?
