Viewing who's logged on Pervasive through Monitor

With the tool 'Monitor' you can see who's logged on in Pervasive. We have a lot problems with betrieve status 84.
We checked on users using the wrong engine, now we're hunting somebody using programmes which calles Pervasive through the net.
How can we use Monitor looking for 'Record lock type' or searching for somebody creating this huge problem?

Thanx in advance.

You can use the Monitor to see the information you're looking for but it'll be difficult. You'll need to search each active user and active file to see which users have locks. You could also write your own tool using the DTI or DTO interfaces to query the Pervasive engine for active users/files information. If you'd rather not build, you might check out Goldstar Software's FindLock tool (http://www.goldstarsoftware.com/tools.asp). It'll help you find which users have locks.

thanx for quick reply.
Unfortunately, your link to the findlock tool (just curious to see) isn't correct.
Anyway, i'd rather build the tool myself, good for self learning.
What means or where can i find these DTI and DTO?
Query Pervasive engine is something hiy can connect with through crystal or vb.net?

Thanx again.

I fixed the link. You should try it now.

DTI and DTO are documented at the Pervasive site (http://www.pervasive.com/developerzo...ods/dtidto.asp. There are samples and docs.

The Pervasive engine can be accessed through Crystal or VB.NET (or any number of different tools/languages).

I downloaded a trial version of PCConfig distributed bij Goldstar software. While having a status 84 lock, we executed the pgm. There is output, but no information about record locks.
We tried /MUL, /MUFE.
Something else is wrong. Maybe you have any ideas?

What was reported? I haven't tried the PSConfig tool so I'm not sure how it works.
