The Database Administrator (DBA) will assist in the redesign of a government financial database. They will work closely with the application support teams to deploy best practices in the areas data modeling, maintenance plans, performance tuning and optimization and naming and security conventions. Experience with DoD and/or General Defense Intelligence Program (GDIP) budgeting a plus, but not required. Person should be able to work independently or with minimal supervision. Individual must be able to analyze user requirements and implement database solutions based on those requirements. Successful candidate should have strong written and oral communication skills.



Desired Skills

Minimum 4 years experience as a Data Architect/and or SQL Server DBA Microsoft certifications a plus.

Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in Computer Science or related subject). Master's Degree a plus

Must have strong background in database design and development (i.e. data modeling, creating stored procedures, views and user defined functions)

Microsoft Analysis Services and Reporting Services experience a plus.
