Hello All,
Could you please tell me what does SQLCODE -984 stands for.

My DB2DIAG.LOG is as follows :
Data TitleQLCA PID:43310 Node:000
sqlcaid : SQLCA sqlcabc: 136 sqlcode: -984 sqlerrml: 0
sqlerrmc:
sqlerrp : sqlrrcmd
sqlerrd : (1) 0xFFFFE60A (2) 0xFFFFFC2C (3) 0x00000000
(4) 0x00000000 (5) 0x00000000 (6) 0x00000000

(7) (8) (9) (10) (11)
sqlstate:

Also in DB2-UDB on AIX how does the log files work.? Will deletion of some of those log files will hamper my DB2.?

Thanks and regards,
Deven.

Hi,

The SQL0984 tells us there was a problem with a COMMIT or ROLLBACK. You can also check this yourself by issuing 'db2 ? sql0984' right from a CLP window. Looking further into the error message I see that sqlerrd[1] contains FFFFE60A. The SQL reference has additional information on how to interpret SQLCA entries, and the Troubleshooting Guide has details on the FFFFE60A.

It looks like a file couldn't be found (e60a). Unfortunately we don't have the filename. Does this error occur frequently? Do you have details on the db2diag.log entries before and after this message?

Thanks,
Raj
