Unhappy Informix doesn't start after Restore

Hi,

we are running Informix Online 7.24UC5 on NCR Unix SVR4 3.02
Yesterday we've got an hdd-crash, we have changed the disk and
restored a level 0 backup with ontape -r.

Normally after restoring Informix would start automatically.
In our Case the Startup fails with an error "Fatal error in shared memory initialization".

oninit -v says: Checking database partition index...FAILED

Does anyone know what this mean?

Re: Informix doesn't start after Restore

I will now try to Re-Initialize the whole DBS.
If this works without any errors I will try to restore from Tape again.

Maybe it will work.

Did you update your symbolic links when changing disks?
What's in the message log?
Are you sure the restore was successful?
