ld.so.1: oninit: fatal: iosm09a.so: open failed: No such file or directory

Hi,

I am trying to start Informix on a unix box running Solaris 8.When I try to start Informix with oninit command i am getting this message
ld.so.1: oninit: fatal: iosm09a.so: open failed: No such file or directory
Killed.

What is the problem.

Check the /usr/lib/sparcv9 directory. The link should be in there and pointing to $INFORMIXDIR/lib/....

maybe you didn't run install IDS after un-tar file or your install process didn't complete
