Paradox 4.0 Error Query -- table and index based on different sort order error #8 [Archive]

We are running a mission-critical application on Paradox 4.0 on Windows NT boxes (8 users) over a robust LAN, Since our computing department switched servers, we have had a number of problems due to the new server crashing while we were accessing Paradox database. Latest error was cause by server crash when we were querying database. When attempting to re-enter database after server fix, we cannot load database, receiving the following error msg. --"PDX Error #8 Grinvagat table and index based on different sort order"

Is there any way to reindex the defective table or rebuild it so that the sort order between table and index is made identical? Any replies would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

I'd try with the Trepair utility that comes with Paradox 7-11, or with one of the many table repair utilities that can be found on the net.
