oninit error,how can i do?

D:\Program Files\informix>oninit
oninit: DBSERVERNAME 'myserver' not in sqlhosts file or sqlhosts file contents
are damaged.
my os:win2k

I have the same question,but now i change the install disk <2g .and then no error appears.

Your DBSERVERNAME is not in sqlhosts file,
for Windows NT you have to edit registry to add sqlhost
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Informix\SqlHosts\

for Unix edit $INFORMIXSQLHOSTS file (default in $INFORMIXDIR/etc/)
add this line
DBSERVERNAME PROTOCOLS HOST SERVICE(port)
