Post installation of oracle8i for pentium 4

Hi!
I'm facing a problem in installing the oracle 8i. When I click the install button, there is no response.

So, how can I install oracle 8i into my pc? I'm using pentium 4.
Thanks!

As that document states: Copy the CD to your hard drive
and rename the file symcjit.dll ...

It is in:

stage\components\oracle.swd.jre\1.1.7.30\1\datafil es\expanded\jre\win32\bin

Thumbs up

I guess, This link can help. It shows the ways to fix the Pentium 4 and JVM.

Hope that helps,

I guess the suggestions at http://www.billmagee.co.uk/oracle/p4inst/index.html aren't clear enough or don't work? Maybe I'll have to make them clearer in future.
