Question DTS importing from Informix to SQL

Hi

My problem is that I need to import some information from an Informix Database, everything is good until I try to pass parameters (or variables) to Informix, it seems that Informix doesn´t acept parameters.

I need to pass this parameters because I need only especific information everytime I run my dts.

Can anyone tell me how to resolve this problem without using the VB .bas files, I'll apreciate it.

Thanks in advance

You could use Stored Procedures (SPL).

create procedure (par1 int, par2 char)

load from ...
insert into tablex

end procedure

You can't use the LOAD statement inside a
stored procedure. This will not work.

The LOAD/UNLOAD statements are only implemented
in dbaccess/isql/4gl. They are not available in esql/c
or stored procedures.

However you could trigger a dbaccess-call which
performs a load thru a system()-call inside a stored
procedure. But to be honest, I would not take that
approach because there is no reliable error handling
possible.

I don't understand the original question.
What is exactly the problem ?
