Red face Sorry, posted in wrong forum

Hello,

im accessing a database (MSDE) over the Internet using a VPN and DSL. Everything works fine, except that the transfer speed drops to 1-2kb if a query with "SUM" is used. I had a similiar problem with all my queries before - to get descent transfer rates, the cursortype and locktype had to be deleted from all recordset-statements (I´m using ADO recordsets in VB6)

It should neither be a perfomance problem (locally, everything works fine) nor a problem with the VPN (all other queries get 12-20kb) and the size of the database is rather small - about 6 tables with less then 300 entries... I really can´t figure out why only queries with the SUM-operator are affected :-(

Any help would be great!

Andreas Koch
