Printing Problem in Oracle Report 2.5

I have designed a multi columnar report on 15x12 size paper using Oracle report 2.5. I have 132 column printer both DMP as well as Lipi Line Printer. But due to character mode reports and the report width being too long the output is displayed in two lines. So far I am unable to compress it to fit one row / one line of the paper.I have tried to change the CPI of the printer too to 20 CPI but it does not work.

Could someone suggest me if this is possible at all & if yes how ? Does Oracle 2.5 not support GUI mode compressed printing. Pl Help me.
