Help with Total cache size

All,

I have a new Sybase ASE 12.5.1 installation on NT.

For some reason I can't add new cache beyond 8 megabytes.

If I do, then adding additional cache tells me I have zero available.

The machine has 4 gigs on it. I configured max memory to 500 megs.

What must I do to get sybase to see more cache memory?

Please be specific with any SP... syntax etc.

Many thanks,

Isaac
