Exclamation Excel / ASP / OWC (was Hi !)

Hello.. Glad to be amongst you all.

I'll post an issue rightaway...

We're a small group working on ASP/JSP/DHTML,,, occasionally using VB and MS Office... The quest that brought me here is:

One of our late colleagues used Office Web Components to dispaly an Excel Spreadsheet within a DIV. This was a couple of years back and all our machines had Office 2000 running on Windows 2000. Now our machines have Office XP or 2003 running on the same OS (well, a handful have XP Prof.).
I'm pasting the code below from the HTML page (between the 'div' tags).

The spreadsheet does not show up on some machines whereas it does on some... Is it a problem with the version of Office present ... or something else ..?? ... I have no experience with such a thing but have been asked to dig for a solution ... please help.

As this thread is a lot more tech than it is "Hello, world", I'm going to move it to a forum where it will attract more technical attention for you.

i found a script that dumped a recordset into an excel file. when i first tried to use it inhouse, it didn't work. Come to find out that with different versions of owc comes different class or object names

Set objSpreadsheet = Server.CreateObject("OWC11.Spreadsheet") ' i think this was owc9 before
