Email & execute VBA function on Insert

Hi

My question is two fold, i want to:

a: Email someone within my LAN when an ASP script is executed to insert data into a table in access. I want the email to go locally over my lan and not through my WAN, i am running exchange server 5.

and

b: Execute a VBA function in a local access database in the same ASP script.

Any help with these problems would be recieved with gratitude.
