Hi - I have developed a number of DB's (using BDB Ultimate 9.4) for work which now need to be networked. We have a simple office network on Windows 7, however, when i try to access a DB already open on another PC it says access denied as the DB is already in use.

Do we have to have a server or can the DB's be networked without a server.

This works on any "Pro" Version of Windows, but not realy on the "Home" Version of Windows...

Brilliant Database, File Menu, share database
Select a port and "Monitor the software with ADB ServerMon (If the "Server" Crashes it will be restarted automaticly...

Here you are with your Database Server.

Clients should not connect to the database directly.

File Menu, open remote database
Select the IP and Port from the PC, where you have created the database server and connect to it.

Usefull hints
- Must have a user management
- Server IP is shown on the menu "share database"
- Tested by Mikhail for up to 16 users (more user make it more slow).
