I am still in process of developing my database and it appears that I will be in this stage for quite some time. I need to purchase a version of Brilliant Database while I am still designing so I am reaching out to the community of users for guidance. What I am curious about is what version should I buy while I am in the development phase (I eventually hope to get a good final product and then I will have to buy the Brilliant Database V9.42 Ultimate). Is it the Brilliant Database V9.42 Professional (home license), Brilliant Database V9.42 (business license), or Brilliant Database V9.42 Server the version I need to buy while I am still designing?

At some point in the future, I will need the Server version but for right now, while designing, will the Brilliant Database V9.42 Professional (home license) work for now?

Question 1: Besides the price, is there any difference in the Brilliant Database V9.42 Professional (home license) and Brilliant Database V9.42 (business license)?

Question 2: This question is directed to the long-term users of Brilliant Database. Whenever a newer version of BD is released, do you purchase this newest version or do you continue using your existing version?

None that I'm aware of. If I were you, I'd go with the home licence since your still developing. You will probably want the SDK edition in the end anyway.

I always upgrade because the new features are always something I have lots of use for. I also need the bug fixes too.

Same with v10 for me. There are bugs in v9.42 that are stopping me from doing something, and I'm hoping that they fix them in v10.

Great! Thanks asokram and Tubbritt - I will buy my license (home version). Yes, James, I will probably need the Ultimate version sometime in the future.

I am pleased to say that I have had several positive and rewarding days with Brilliant Database since MacHeuS last helped me - I have been scripting 'like a crazy man' and have made some great gains with my project. I want to express my thanks to those that have helped me and I applaud your patience in dealing with my extremely-limited knowledge of BD.
