Question How to removing software Completely from the system

Hi,
I am using a trial version of pop up software, once the trial period ends iam uninstalling the software and installing it again but that software recognizes some file in the system not allowing me to use the trial software again. I think that trial software file is stored some where in the system which is not removed when i uninstall, how to find that file, i am using windows'98 SE, appreciate your help.
Thanks

I'd be inclined to bet that the problem is a registry entry. The simplest way to fix those is to reformat the drive.
