Interesting Thread - Hourly Rates

Just wanted to point out that there is quite an interesting conversation going on in the "Business of Software" section of the Joel on Software forums regarding hourly rates in various locations.

I've never understood the secrecy (and fascination!) involved when talking about other people's salaries and such, but if you'd like to read the thread here is the link:
