My suggestion would be to get in touch with the person you paid to do the programming.

Unless you paid some kind of finder's fee to Jeremy, I think he's been more civil than I would have been under the same circumstances... If all Jeremy did was give you a referral to a third party (at no charge), then I can't see that Jeremy owes you anything at all.
