Need help with english

Hey Peoples!
I would need your help with an english text. I wrote this text for a very small documentation. Just for us in the company here. But i think, the other people will not really understand what i mean
So it would be nice if someone could have a look about my text and give me some information about my failures...

First of all, we have to create a datasource: Click extras > Data Sources
Click on New Datasource, than enter a name for your new datasource. Select the database type (dbase). Now enter the path to your *.dbf-File which was genereted by FileMaker Pro. You just can enter the path, not the filename.
Now, it's very easy to enter the fields you need/want.
Just click on Insert > cross-reference. Choose the tab „Database“. In the list „Field type“ select „mail merge field“. In the other field, „Database selection“ select the datasource which you has created. Click on the small + befor. Than select the table you want. The table have the same name like your exportet *.dbf-File.
Click on the small + and a list with all fields within the table will be opend.
With a doubleclick to a fieldname you will add the value to your document.
Thank you very much!

You're you limited to a text file? That sucks. ARe you sure you couldn't use something else? HTML? PDF? JPG?

Your english isn't horrible. It needs to be broken up a bit more though. It's hard to follow where each distinct action begins and ends. Consider using more paragraphs.

Who cares? It's just because of the english text ;-) The text will always be the some... It doesn't matters what file format it is...
And, ist just a small text-file at the server... no x... nothing ;-)

How about this? .. all copyrights reserved
----------------------------------------------
First, create a data source:
Click [extras] > [Data Sources]
Click on [New Datasource], then enter a name for your new data source.

Select the database type (dbase). Now enter the path to your *.dbf-File which was generated by FileMaker Pro. (Enter the full path, not just the filename).

Now, it's very easy to enter the fields you need/want.
Click [Insert] > [cross-reference]
Open tab “Database”.
In the list “Field type” select [mail merge field].

In the other field, “Database selection” select the data source that you have created (click on the sign “+” first then select the table you want. The table should have the same name as the exported *.dbf-File).

Click on the sign “+” and a list of all fields within the table will be shown.
You can add a value to your document by double-clicking a fieldname.
