Looking for the BEST hosting, not the cheapest for MySQL

I've searched through countless pages of hosting-related threads and articles, but the results have always been saturated with which hosting is the cheapest. My business means a lot to me and I am willing to sacrifice the dollar for results, and so I am in search of an extremely fast, efficient and reliable host provider for my MySQL DB (PHP server-side).

Can someone point me in the right direction please? Thanks in advance.

I've been happy with A2 Hosting.

tech support has been very responsive, as has customer service.

Of course, one of my sites is a small family site, and the other is under development, but, their servers are quite responsive. They don't appear to overload the boxes. (They also support PostgreSQL, which was important for me.)

If you want your own VPS, look at eapps.com

If you want awesome tech support as part of the package, look at rackspace.com.

Brinkster supports mySQL and has php .net scripting facilities.

There is live 24hr support. I'd rate them as OK, but they have a habit of making changes that can be devastating. When they upgraded mySQL last year my username stopped working (it suddenly became case sensitive): it would have been nice to have been warned of this possibility. Recently for no apparent reason all ,aspx pages stopped working and I couldn't access the admin side of my website( they were actually working on the problem when I contacted tham).

Two problems over five years isn't bad I suppose, now that I think about it!

I have used DreamHost for a year so or, they're pretty good, but i'm not sure how intensive you need your things to be.

But you can always get a dedicated server.

Read their ToS properly about the money back, it only applies for Credit Card payment, and IIRC, shared servers. They charge abit for dedicated server if you want your money back.
