I was really kind of skeptical in my encounters with biztalk.
As for cartoons I caught the old school violent Tom and Jerry on the Cartoon network last saturday morning around 7am eastern. The "The Batman" series on the WB, not currently airing but it should be back I think) is great and for us older kids, if you are not Tivoing Metalocolopyse on the the cartoon network, you need to start doing that.

I was given the sale speech about BizTalk from my manager once; apparently something they are considering bringing in to our organisation and I should read up on it.
This was 12 months ago and I've not heard a peep about BT since.

I agree with you, and most US TV is utter crap in comparison to what you can find outside of the US. US born and bred shows are nothing but trivial airheads and stereotypes, who lack morals and ethics, pimping one product or another just to keep you watching. The shows that are interesting subject matter are almost always canned, unless the plot line has been dumbed down enough for the "average american" in which case I already know the ending 5 minutes into the show and it's not worth watching.
There are too few shows worth watching, and the ones that are inevitably get cancelled after I've become interested in them. Jericho and Journeyman being two of them. Life is thankfully still on, and Eureka on Sci-Fi is a good show but it's been way commercialized now to save the show from the cannery. If it's not a reality show that exploits the stupidity, under-handedness, and general scum of the Average Joe in America, it's not getting any attention. I TiVo a few good programs, and the rest can go away.
We have too many channels, that's my offering. I watch the Discovery, History and Animal Planet channels far more often than anything else if I want to watch something in the background. A season of Deadliest Catch just wrapped up and it was interesting enough that I want to take a cruise from Ancorage to Nome across the Bering Sea just to make a port of call in Dutch Harbor. Now I have to find 10k to go, and I'm all set.
I guess that TV has lost it's sense of wonder for me. I'm not challenged by it.

One of these days I will write a DailyWTF article about how not to develop a health benefits claims processing system that featured biztalk amongst many other development fads including EAV and the misuse of XML and just about every database worst practice pet peeve you can imagine. To top it all off it was a state government client. That as close as I ever want to get to doing govt work.

It's Tuesday. My other dba is out for two weeks, our net admin is out sick for a week, and my boss is in town. It's a triple whammy week for me. Thank goodness I got some R&R last weekend, I need it. Here's my love/hate list for today.
Things I love;
The way the clouds are an every changing mural against the sky.
The smell of a fresh grapefruit for breakfast.
The pounding of footsteps on the stairs as my son runs out to make sure he gets a big hug before I go to work.
Things I don't love;
When my phone has both lines lit and things are rolling to voicemail and I am sitting at my desk.
Two hour old coffee that wasn't labelled as decaf, but is.
The hum and inconsistent vibration of the vent fan above my head and just to the rear.
Your turns!

things i love today...
waking up to 65 F with the windows wide open in August sleeping in my boxers and no blanket.
freshly roasted Kenya AA dark roast coffee ground by me this morning in the thermos.
blood sugar is 105 and holding steady.
things I hate today...
sitting on this lengthy conference call while having to dispose of the aforementioned coffee.
the talk radio that plays all day long when my cube neighbor occasionally comes to the office like today.
It's almost time for me to speak and I do not feel like talking to anyone.

Things I love today: The way my PC is keeping my feet toasty (shoes off, feet up)
The respite my mp3 player is offering
Gettig told that I'm being missed Things I hate today: Torrential rain outside
Having to prat about with spreadsheets
Work on a specific interface grinding to a halt after progress so far was ahead of schedule

I don't think Canada is being forced to HD, but they do offer HD channels.
There was nothing on Google News about them going all HD.
And it wasn't me who called Sean, mine is a Chicago number.
(Can you come and liberate me from anglophile rule, tho? You bring the TNT, I have matches.)
I need a break after today. Something submersive enough to take me away entirely from my current existence. A concert would be nice. Speaking of which, Metallica will be here in January, and the bonus of living between Chicago and Milwaukee is that I have a choice of two dates and two venues. Woot.

I spent three months on a contract in Columbus once many moons ago. It has really good bars and a few really nice art galleries. I didn't get out enough while I was there, as I was working 70 hour weeks pretty regularly with no weekends off. The people were very nice.
How long have you been in Cali Desireemm?
