I think the NFL's attempt to sell Football to viewers in the UK is a futile exercise. The Brits (and the rest of the world for that matter) know that nothing will ever come even close to the popularity of Soccer.

Faith is a personal thing.
Religion is an attempt to organize people's faith in order to control and exploit it.
Religion is evil.

And by the way...are all DBAs Godless? This is kind of weird.
Would all non-damned DBAs please raise their hands?

i would not say I am totally Godless. More agnostic than atheist. the problem with organized religion is the same problem with all human organizations. they are human.

I missed the game at Wembley last year - I won't be going but will definitely be down the pub making sure the landlord has it on for me to watch

When I was deciding on what Uni to put as my first choice it was really close between 2 options. The fact that one Uni had an American Football team was a pretty high ranking deciding-factor.

...sometimes I wonder if cancelling my application was really the right thing to do.

I definitely believe in God.

In the vast majority of cases, I see religion as the world's second-oldest profession. Going to church does not make you religious any more than going into the garage makes you a vehicle.

My faith is unshakable (and it has been put to the test, more than once) but I'm nearly certain that my views don't fit squarely in any organized religion. I adamantly refuse to preach it, and will only rarely discuss it, but I do have a deep and abiding faith in God.

Can't we discuss wine, women and song instead?

I agree with you Rudy. Someone asked me the other day how I was feeling... I answered, "NULL" and they just cocked their head to the side and gave me that dumb look.

They'll never understand, and yet there is almost as much info about NULL as there is about God.
